Heart Care
Heart care at Crestwood Medical Center focuses on the functions and disorders of the heart and its connected circulatory system. According to the American Heart Association, 84 million people in the U.S. suffer from some form of cardiovascular disease, affecting blood flow throughout the body.
Taking good care of your heart can help reduce your risk of developing heart disease that leads to a heart attack, stroke or other serious complications. Our cardiac care teams provide heart care services from helping you create a heart-healthy lifestyle to performing potentially lifesaving procedures in emergency situations.
Crestwood Medical Center has been recognized as an Accredited Chest Pain Center with Primary PCI and Resuscitation by the American College of Cardiology. In addition, in 2003, we joined a national registry that monitors patient outcomes for hospitals without onsite cardiac surgery. The national average for door to balloon time (from the time a patient arrives at the emergency room until the time blood flow is restored) is 107 minutes. The cardiac care team at Crestwood Medical Center averages a door to balloon time of 70 minutes. Our fastest door-to-balloon time is 14 minutes.
