Crestwood Medical Center Invites Community to a Hands-on Experience with Hospital’s New Robotic Surgical System.

Huntsville, AL — Crestwood Medical Center invites the public to a hands-on experience with a modern surgical innovation. On Friday, June 20, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., community members are invited to “test drive” the hospital’s new robotic surgical system.

Attendees will have the opportunity to sit at the robotic console and see what it’s like to control the robot model made for robotic-assisted surgery — the same technology that Crestwood surgeons use for a wide variety of minimally invasive procedures. Team members will be on hand to explain how robotic-assisted surgery works, answer questions and discuss the many potential benefits for patients, including smaller incisions, less pain, shorter hospital stays and quicker recoveries.
