Crestwood Medical Center and the Community Foundation of Huntsville/Madison County announce the charter of a new fund - the Crestwood Women & Families Fund - dedicated to supporting women and families. This fund will be managed by the Community Foundation and represents the first "giving circle" managed by the Foundation.
The mission of the Crestwood Women & Families Fund is to establish a grant-making fund for high-impact grants to address the issues and meet immediate needs of women and families in our community. Not-for-profit organizations in our community who serve women and families will follow a formal process of applying for funds. An Advisory Committee consisting of members of Crestwood Women's Advisory Council, Crestwood Medical Center employees, and volunteers will meet regularly to review applications and recommend grants to selected organizations.
Members of our community are invited to be Founding Supporters of the Crestwood Women & Families Fund with minimum tax-deductible donation of $100 by July 15, 2014. After the initial funding campaign has been completed, all Founding Supporters will be invited to a ceremony to celebrate the charter of this fund and to dedicate a commemorative display on the Crestwood Medical Center campus.
This fund provides a great opportunity to honor to remember special women in our community. If you are interested in being involved in making a difference in the lives of women and families in our community and want to be a Founding Supporter, please visit the Community Foundation's website at www.communityfoundationhsv.org/CWFF or mail your check to the Community Foundation, P.O. Box 332, Huntsville, Alabama 35804 by July 15, 2014.
