Crestwood Volunteer Services
True Service is Priceless.
Our volunteers provide countless hours of service to our patients, visitors and families. They are integral part of our Crestwood family, staffing the Information Desk, serving as patient advocates, and providing support in various departments throughout the hospital. We are thankful for their willingness to share their time and talents in support of Crestwood and the community. And volunteering has its own rewards: new friendships, new experiences, new challenges, and the satisfaction that comes from knowing that your efforts truly make a positive difference in the quality of life for our community.

Summer Teenage Volunteer Program
In partnership with Junior Achievement of North Alabama, Crestwood Medical Center offers summer volunteer positions for teenage youth. The program, available for youth ages 14 – 18 years old, is a unique opportunity to experience various departments in the hospital. Students accepted into the program can count their volunteer hours as part of a Junior Achievement Internship. This is a great opportunity for college applications and resume building. We were excited to have over 80 local students participate as teenage volunteers during the summer of 2012.
The Volunteer Program is open to High School or Middle School students between the ages of 14 & 18. (Student must be 14 by December 31, 2011.) Students must have at least a B grade average and be willing to commit to at least one full session (3 weeks), Monday - Friday at a minimum of 4 hours a day.
Two sessions will be offered in 2013. The dates for the June session are June 10 - June 28. The dates for the July session are July 15 - August 2.
