What is Pinpoint Surgery?
Pinpoint Surgery is a highly accurate, less invasive form of surgery. Using small incisions, often smaller than one-quarter-inch in length, surgeons are guided to the precise location in the body by means of a tiny, remote television camera.
Using incisions about this size, Pinpoint surgeons at Crestwood are dramatically reducing patient pain and recovery time.
Pinpoint Surgery greatly reduces the amount of muscle and other tissue the surgeon must cut or disturb to reach the surgical site. Most Pinpoint Surgeries allow patients to go home the same day, even after having what was once major surgery.
Pinpoint Surgeons view the surgical site on a magnified, high-definition television screen. Using miniature instruments, Pinpoint Surgeons are then able to correct the problem with the least amount of trauma to the area. This means faster healing and less pain to the patient.
In some cases, Pinpoint Surgeons use a sophisticated robotic arm guaranteeing pinpoint precision during more complicated procedures.
Every aspect of the Pinpoint Facility is centered around the patient. From our convenient parking to our designated Pinpoint Surgery suites.
Unique to Crestwood, each surgeon works with the same surgical team. This consistency facilitates a smoother operation and helps insure the highest quality standards. As a Crestwood Center of Excellence, Pinpoint Surgery is designed around you and your physician. From convenient parking and designated Pinpoint Surgery suites to the personal attention that has become Crestwood's hallmark, you will feel special the moment you walk into our hospital.
