The Board of Trustees of Crestwood Medical Center recently announced that John A. Higginbotham, M.D. has joined as a new member.

Dr. Higginbotham is an orthopaedic surgeon at SportsMED Orthopaedic Surgery and Spine Center. He specializes in the practice of general orthopaedics with special interest in knee, hip, and elbow joint replacement. Other areas of special interest include shoulder, knee arthroscopy, and carpal tunnel surgeries. He received his M.D. degree from the University of Alabama in Birmingham in 1972. During his orthopaedic surgery residency at the University of Tennessee in Chattanooga, he served as chief resident. He is Board Certified and holds fellowship status in the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgery.

The Crestwood Medical Center Board of Trustees is committed to selecting members who are diverse in experience, expertise, perspective, and community representation. Higginbotham will serve a three-year term.
Jim E. Speed, D.O., recently completed two terms as a member of the Crestwood Board of Trustees and received accolades for his leadership and dedication to the success of the hospital and the care of patients in the community.
