Crestwood Board of Trustees Elects New Members
The Board of Trustees of Crestwood Medical Center has elected Tony Jones and Darla R. Cowart, MD, as new members effective January 29, 2010.
Tony Jones is Vice President and Senior Site Executive of Operations at Boeing in Huntsville. Darla R. Cowart, MD, is a practicing family physician with Total Sports Care.
Tony Jones was named vice president and senior site executive for Boeing Huntsville in July 2008. Jones joined The Boeing Company in 2006 after a distinguished career in the U.S. Army, where he achieved the rank of Lieutenant General. Jones was commissioned as a Distinguished Military Graduate from the ROTC program at Indiana University. He also holds a master’s degree in Systems Management from the University of Southern California.
Dr. Darla Cowart received her M.D. from the University Of Alabama School Of Medicine. She serves as the Sport Medicine Fellowship Director at the UAB School of Medicine in Huntsville and is board certified in both Sport Medicine and Family Medicine. Dr. Cowart is team physician for University of Alabama-Huntsville, Alabama A&M University, Columbia High School and the local arena football team, the Huntsville Vipers.
The Crestwood Medical Center Board of Trustees is committed to selecting members who are diverse in experience, expertise, perspective, and community representation. Each will serve a three-year term.
Randall Tindell, MD, recently completed his term as a member of the Crestwood Board of Trustees and received accolades for his leadership and dedication to the success of the hospital and the care of patients in the community.
