Garber Joining Crestwood Medical Center Board of Trustees

Huntsville, AL – Crestwood Medical Center recently announced a new addition to its Board of Trustees and the retirement of other members.

Jeffrey G. Garber, MD, Family Practice physician, will join the Crestwood Board of Trustees in January 2009. “Dr. Garber has been a practicing physician in our community for many years”, comments Mike Gillespie, Chair of Crestwood Board of Trustees. “He has a reputation of always putting his patients and their care first and foremost; this makes him a great selection for Crestwood’s Board.  We are delighted for him to be a part of our team as we continue providing the healthcare needs of our community.”

Crestwood also recognizes the contributions of two outstanding Board of Trustees members whose term ended on 12/31/08 - Evans Quinlivan, Senior Market Executive of Northeast Alabama at RBC Bank, and Neeta Kohli-Dang, MD, ENT physician on the active medical staff of Crestwood Medical Center.  “Mr. Quinlivan and Dr. Kohli-Dang have been valuable contributing members of our team over the last few years,” states Crestwood CEO Pam Hudson, “we will certainly miss their presence on our Board but count on them to continue to serve as Ambassadors of our organization.”

G. S. Rao, MD, Internal Medicine physician, moves to Emeritus status on the Crestwood Board.  Dr. Rao has been an active member of the medical staff at Crestwood for more than twenty-five years.  He has held various leadership roles including Chief of Staff.  Dr. Rao has served on the Crestwood Board for 10 years.  Dr. Rao was recognized for his outstanding service at the August 2008 board meeting.
