Cardiac Care at Crestwood Medical Center focuses on the functions and disorders of the heart and its connected circulatory system. According to the American Heart Association, 84 million people in the U.S. suffer from some form of cardiovascular disease, affecting blood flow throughout the body. Cardiovascular disease can lead to heart attacks, strokes or other serious complications.
Crestwood Medical Center has been recognized as an Accredited Chest Pain Center by the Society of Cardiovascular Patient Care. In addition, in 2003 we joined a national registry that monitors patient outcomes for hospitals without onsite cardiac surgery. The national average for door to balloon time (from the time a patient arrives at the emergency room until the time blood flow is restored) is 107 minutes. The Crestwood Cardiac Care team averages a door to balloon time of 70 minutes. Our fastest door-to-balloon time is 14 minutes. The American College of Cardiology's recommended door-to-balloon time is 90 minutes or less.
